Abstract

This study aims to describe the design, utilization, inhibiting and supporting factors, and solutions to obstacles in the use of varied media in drama text learning at SMA Negeri 1 Tilango. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The research data sources were obtained from the learning process, Indonesian language teachers, and grade XI students. Data collection techniques were carried out through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was carried out through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of the study show: 1) teachers have designed varied media in learning systematically through the preparation of Learning Implementation Plans that are adjusted to learning objectives, material characteristics, and student needs. The varied media designed include PowerPoint, drama videos, Mentimeter, and KARTIKA cards; 2) the use of varied media in learning is carried out in an integrated manner at each stage of learning so that it helps students understand the content and language of drama texts more easily, increases learning motivation, and encourages activeness in learning; 3) inhibiting factors in the use of varied media in learning include lack of student concentration and limited internet access, while supporting factors include teacher readiness, availability of devices, and student enthusiasm; 4) Solutions to obstacles are implemented through monitoring the use of digital devices, providing alternative learning options when internet access is limited, mentoring in the use of digital media, and gradually and routinely getting students used to using varied media.
